Vintage, Baby!

42c9ece9-1.jpg5e308d82-2.jpgimage015.jpgVintage finds make a lovely baby’s room. An old bib adorns the lamp shade. The bumper, chair and stool coverimage018.jpg is made from a vintage chenille bedspread. The rabbit atop the window treatment was made by me when I was a small child. Embroidered pillow cases and other sentimental items such as shower corsages and a wedding bow from our wedding are displayed in the room. The bow is pinned on a pillow case. If you need a place to store baby’s hats and headbands, use the stuffed animals.

Simple Treatments

A table cloth turned valance.A simple valance can be made by using a vintage table cloth. Simply nail two nails in the window frame and drape the table cloth on them. Spice up your bathroom with colored trim.

A little extra storage.A small space always needs extra storage. A vintage cabinet found at the flea market houses much needed items such as toiletries and wash cloths. This cabinet doesn’t occupy much floor space, but it makes an ideal place to store some of life’s little “necessities”.

Light & AiryA valance made from inexpensive fabric and lined with contrasting fabric brings a light and airy flavor to this bathroom. Beaded trim added to the edge gives it a more expensive look.
